Achensee Run
Turquoise-green water surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery
The Achensee Run is rightly considered one of the most scenic running events in Austria. Each year on the first weekend in September, the traditional race invites running enthusiasts to circumnavigate Tirol’s largest lake. At 23 kilometres, the route is longer than a half-marathon. The race is open to solo runners and 2-person relay teams, featuring a longer stage (14.5 kilometres on flat gravel and asphalt), and a shorter stage (8.5 kilometres) climbing over 208 metres of elevation on a demanding trail.
