The Achensee Run comprises two stages, totalling 23 kilometres around Tirol’s largest lake.

Stage 1: Pertisau – Achenkirch
The first stage is a flat 14.5-kilometre route with gravel and asphalt sections, leading to Achenkirch. This section also serves as the Fitness Run and concludes with the relay changeover in Achenkirch.

Stage 2: Achenkirch – Pertisau
The second stage begins in Achenkirch and leads back to Pertisau via a challenging climb featuring an elevation gain of 208 metres. This 8.5-kilometre route forms the demanding final part of the Achensee Run.

There will be five refreshment stations conveniently located along the route, plus additional refreshments waiting at the finish line.

Race timing is handled by race result AG, with your personal timing chip integrated directly into your race number.

All runners must pass the refreshment station/finish line in Achenkirch by 11.45 at the latest. If you arrive after this time, you may continue the race at your own risk (without a race number), but you will not be included in the official rankings. Please be aware that after 11.45, refreshment stations, first aid posts, and emergency services will be withdrawn from the course, following the last official runner.

Important note: The organizer reserves the right to remove any participants who do not meet these time limits or fail to reach the Achenkirch finish line. In such cases, you will be approached by the mountain rescue team, the last runner, or course marshals. The final cut-off time for the finish line in Achenkirch is 11.45, and the overall finish line in Pertisau closes at 14.00.

Gross time is the time elapsed from the starting signal to the personal finish, regardless of the actual time at which the start line is crossed. Net time is the actual running time, i.e. the time that elapses from the moment the start line is crossed to the finish.

The route around Lake Achensee leads along asphalt and gravel paths and, in some sections, along an alpine trail. Running shoes with a good grip are recommended, especially in wet conditions.

Yes, clothing can be handed in directly at the start area (Pertisau and Achenkirch) and at the finish area (Achenkirch and Pertisau).
